Blevins Family Pumpkin Bread

With all these Fall recipes floating around I have seen a ton of pumpkin pies, pumpkin fluff, pumpkin dip, ect. And it has been making me crave it like crazy! So I busted out the old cook book my Mom gave me before she passed and went to work on the pumpkin bread that has been in there for ages! I won't say it is the best because lets face it pumpkin bread is pumpkin bread, but it is pretty darn good!

Here goes! BTW I am super bad about telling people exactly how to make things, so if you have any questions at all please just ask!

1 1/2 cup flour (self rising works great)
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cup pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar (great tip, if you put a couple big puffy marshmallows in your brown sugar it wont clump!)
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 egg
2 tbsp butter

Add all dry ingredients together then add all the wet ones!
Bake in a grease loaf pan (I used pam) on 350 degrees for 1 hour
As soon as you get it out of the oven immediately wrap it in tin foil! It will be moist and amazing!
ENJOY!
